In the summertime there are kiosks serving ice cream to city dwellers and sightseeing tours to tourists in every street corner in Helsinki. In 2021, you could also find a kiosk with something suitable for adventurers. Performance Wagon had a menu of fifteen performances that one could buy and enjoy instantly.

Performance Wagon was part of the main program of Reality Research Center (RRC) in its 20th anniversary year in 2021. The performances of the wagon offered a glimpse to the 20-year long history of RRC. Some of them were new versions of timeless performances and some of them new fruits of the research done by the artists. Adhering to the philosophy of RRC, the performances were experiential, participatory, and multisensory.

The performances varied from small trips to improvised shows built with the audience or based on their wishes. The selection also had some performances without a performer. The performances explored work, utopias and the city, amongst other themes.
